This weekend RANH was part of a few events!
From Dec. 3-5, RANH had a booth at the Kris Kringle Market in Downtown Rochester on Fourth Street. We sold hot chocolate, bell wreaths, ornaments, chocolate covered pretzels, soy candles, and other items. We had a great turnout and the booth was staffed by various adult and Youth Committee volunteers. Thanks to all who came out to support the Neighborhood House and for those who helped organize the booth. It was great to see everyone in the Christmas spirit! There is a picture posted to the left.
RANH was also a part of the Rochester Hometown Christmas Parade on Dec. 5. The Boy Scout Troop 188 built a Gingerbread House float for us, and some RANH volunteers helped the Troop decorate it. The float won 1st place in the parade adult division for the 4th year in a row and was shown on Channel 7 News! The Boy Scouts were able to ride inside of the Gingerbread House, while Megan and myself accompanied Joseph James, a local musician, and rode on the back of the float. Thank you to the Boy Scout Troop 188 for building such a beautiful float and for Joseph James for singing during the parade! The Boy Scouts worked very hard to organize the float, and I have some pictures posted below to display their efforts.
